29th Birthday Bash

My P's came to Aurora for the final birthday of my 20's! We had a great time in downtown Chicago at Twin Anchors eating awesome ribs! We golfed on Friday and my Dad got a 2 on #8 forEAGLE at Phillips Park Golf Course, and my mom made my very favorite Coconut Cake! Thanks mom & dad for such a fun weekend! My sweet husband gave me a sentimental card and Tiffany earrings! I really am spoiled! P.S. Isn't that a cool picture of my Dad in the sunset???

Yep, Mexico's hot in August

...and I just had to see it for myself. Although the only proof I have is my peeling face and chili pepper back! We did survive our vacation at the Aventura Palace, however, by sipping cerveza's, banana monkey's & Disaronno's at the swim-up bar. The first day anyway--the rest of the time was spent in the Tunnel of Love (ie. the bridge over the pool, out of the sun)! The days were spent relaxing poolside and a quick kayak ride or two. Omar and Manuela were our big local entertainment. We relaxed, laughed, & created GirlsGoneWild Aventura, thanks to John & Cerella for a great trip! Where oh where will you find us next......

Does anyone else have a pup addicted to warm laundry? Sophie loves it! You could lose a finger if you try to fold it before she's ready...HaHa

Summer Getaway....

We will be returning to the beautiful Aventura Spa palace (as seen in these pics taken on our honeymoon in Jan '05 )!!!!
This time we will have double fun as we are going with our good friends John and Cerella at the end of August!! Yea!!
It's gonna be a hot one! We're soo excited.....

1 plays piano beautifully
2 can knit with the smallest knitting needles I've ever seen
3 has a big heart: when we were 12 yrs old I broke my collar bone and had to wear a sling. She wore one too that summer so I wouldn't feel stupid
4 can make you look thinner by plucking your eyebrows. (Thanks!)
5 favorite meal: mom's quiche with a pineapple upside-down cake chaser (dad's cinnamon rolls are way up there too!)
6 her first car was NOT the Blue Maui but a little red Toyota named Curly 9!
7 we kept Perkins restaurant in business for the better part of the mid to late 90's
8 learning to play acoustic guitar
9 most excitment from a gift: first pair of Birk's from Grandma Jo( two strap green suede)
10 we all autographed the wall inside her closet at her parents house, the "kiss list" also lives there!

We're Moving.....

.....on thursday actually!! It's the first home for both my husband and I. We're thrilled! I can't wait to get in there to go crazy with some paint!!!

I just realized that my last post was in March! I knew it had been quite a while, but geez!! For those of you still checking my blog: Thanks! The big news keeping me busy is the purchase of our new house (some pics to come....). We close next week and move within 2 days and we made the offer the first week of May! Fast! We're sooo excited!! Don't give up on me everybody, I will be better about posting!!!!
